Rui Rego Soares focuses his practice on employment law, providing legal advice at both national and international levels. He advises companies in the private and public sectors, including entities within the State-owned enterprise sector. His main areas of practice include day-to-day legal advice on employment matters, the drafting of employment contracts and termination agreements, the management of dismissal and disciplinary proceedings, as well as representing clients before the Authority for Working Conditions and the courts. Rui also has specialised experience in matters relating to pay equality, supporting companies in interpreting and implementing the obligations arising from legislation on pay transparency. He is a member of Littler’s coordination committee dedicated to the European Pay Transparency Directive, working with clients to address the practical challenges associated with its implementation. He will shortly commence a Postgraduate Programme in Business Law, promoted by the Private Law Research Centre (CIDP) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
